Gelato Manufacturing visited the Sigep Fair held in Rimini (Italy), between January 19 and 23, 2019. The Sigep Fair is considered the largest event in the sector. This monographic fair includes the following thematic sections: ice cream, chocolate, confectionery, bakery, pizza, decoration and furniture. Here, all the latest trends, materials, products, facilities, equipment, furniture and services for ice cream parlors, bakeries, bakeries and pizzerias are presented. Demonstrations, competitions and international championships, as well as courses and seminars will complement the program. An event not to be missed!
This year, we have seen that the trend towards vegan products, without sugar and 'cleanlabel' (without additives) is increasing and more and more operators are betting on these products. The final customer drives this demand, and forces manufacturers to acquire more references and improve their offer.
The ice cream sector enjoys a good moment and at the Fair it is noticeable, the market continues to grow in many markets. The presence of international visitors is every year more important, and the Fair makes a great effort to attract customers from the Americas and Asia, where the ice cream business has great growth potential.
